Pre-mastering is the process of preparing your data on the computer's hard disk before it is written to a CD-Recordable. It involves organizing and formatting the data you wish commited to a compact disc. Once the data has been pre-mastered, it can be copied or burned to a CD-Recordable using a CD writing unit. In fact, repeating this copy process to blank CD's is the procedure for creating one-offs. However, CD's duplicated by injection molding must first be mastered. |
